Jason Bock is the Laser Tag Guy. He's been involved with the laser tag and entertainment industry since 1984 as a player, manager, writer, and consultant.
Think laser tag is tough?
Jason cut his teeth in the competitive grocery industry, serving in the marketing and advertising departments of large and small grocery retailers. He learned how to be a generalist and how to build market share with minimal budgets.
Jason has also held marketing positions in the health care, travel and financial sales industries. He has operated his own highly succesful murder mystery party company. He's written business plans and helped market three start-up ventures in various industries.
As general manager of one laser tag center and marketing manager for a major laser tag arena, Jason was successful in working on a limited budget. But, he made mistakes and learned from those mistakes. He spent years speaking with and watching operators of all kinds, both successful and non-successful.
Today, Jason has shared his experience with laser tag and entertainment center operators around the world through books and speaking engagements.
In 2004, Jason moved The Laser Tag Guy to LASERTRON, one of the world's largest laser tag manufacturers. At LASERTRON, Jason works with LASERTRON's own centers and operators, trying bold new marketing techniques.
Jason still finds time to play laser tag, running game nights at LASERTRON in Amherst. He is still one of the organizers of Armageddon laser tag tournament a unique, multi-system tournament that occurs every year in July in the United States. Jason also runs the LASERTRON World Championships every summer.
Jason currently resides in Williamsville, New York, a suburb of Buffalo, with his wife Teresa and son Alex, the next generation laser tag player. In his infrequent spare time, Jason performs in local theatrical productions and works with several community organizations.
