I am new to laser tag, can you help me?
Of course I can. In fact, I am working on a laser tag quick startup guide that will available for free. It will show you the steps you should consider as you get started with creating a location based entertainment (stand-alone) center or adding a center to an existing facility.
In the mean time, I am available for short consultations. Just give me a call at 419-287-9477 or email me at j.bock@lasertagguy.com to discuss options.
Do you sell equipment?
No! And I don't think I ever will. I am on friendly terms with most of the manufacturing community. I would direct you to the LTMSA website to find equipment manufacturers.
Do you recommend equipment insert brand name?
No. I like lots of laser tag equipment. Much of it out there is good. To be honest (don't tell the manufacturers), but I don't think that the equipment is what makes or breaks an arena.
Buy your equipment from a manufacturer you trust. Look for a good warranty and other successful site operators. Then, make sure you run your center professionally.
Why should I pay you to do things I know/can do?
That's a very good question. If you know everything that I know, you probably shouldn't pay me anything.
I am doing two things: helping out owners and operators who aren't sure what marketing they need to do and providing support services for those operators that know what to do but can't find the time to do it.
You see, lots of operators start out with the best of intentions. They may even know a lot about marketing. But running a business is difficult and time consuming. It's easy to get stuck.
I can provide services for you that are customized to your center and to the laser tag/entertainment industry.
How much do you charge?
Obviously, that depends on what I am doing. My goal is to provide my very specialized services as inexpensively as possible. I understand your financial concerns.
For instance, I avoid travel whenever possible because it is expensive. I also spend a great deal of time finding the cheapest and best way of doing things (see my Resources page to see what I mean.
The bottom line is this: If you follow my advice and make marketing a focus at your center, anything you spend with me will pay for itself quickly. How much are 10 more birthday parties a month worth to you? How much is a thriving group business worth?
Will your strategies work for me?
We won't know for certain until we try, but my basic marketing strategies work in a variety of industries and are based guerilla marketing strategies that are working today.
You see, I have been around long enough to see that certain tactics (advertising, bulk mailing, etc.) may not always work for everyone in every situation. That's why I try and teach a system of doing things , rather than promote certain tactics.
If you're so great at this, why don't you own a laser tag center?
Good point. I don't run a laser tag center for two very good reasons. I like playing laser tag and I'm a mediocre manager. When I managed a center I got burned out on laser tag.
Even though I'm a medicore manager, I can show you how to market your center. I can help a lot of people with my marketing knowledge and still get to play! I get the best of both worlds.
If you need operational support, I can refer you to some great people.
Are you available to do insert activity?
I do this full time, so I will consider anything that is moral and legal. Just contact me and give me an idea what you're thinking. |
